Decent hotel, not as nice as one a block south of here, does have some interesting stuff

Our family of 2 adults, 2 kids under 6, and a dog pulled up at 2 am after a long day of travel and they got us quickly in a room. The woman who checked us in was friendly and offered us a late check out. The next morning we slept in later than breakfast was served (9 am cut off) and the woman at the front desk very kindly still let us make breakfast waffles and sausage at 9:06. My kids ate like wolves since we didn’t get a proper dinner the night before on the road and the kindness was greatly appreciated. The staff and welcome definitely get a 5/5.
Very clean and comfortable also has shampoo and conditioner in shower. Has a nice desk and chair for computer and another chair for relaxing.
The beds were of average comfort. Lots of pillows which I enjoy. They have a waffle maker for the breakfast which I love to have in the morning. There was 1 night the water did not get that hot at all and my key stopped working after my first night. They have a pool that I did not use, but it looked fun. It is an indoor pool. They have a vending machine which i used to purchase water. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. Lots of parking and friendly staff.
Our stay was terrible due to a lack of transparency and hygiene. Upon arrival, the hotel charged us double the advertised pet fee. We tried to cancel, but since the Expedia booking was non-refundable, we were stuck paying the extra cost. The experience didn't improve once we got to the room; we found old, dried-up poop in the corner on the carpet. It was clear that the floor hadn't been vacuumed or inspected properly before our arrival. While the front desk did move us to a new room, the initial discovery was disgusting and made us doubt the cleanliness of the entire property. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you are booking based on the prices listed on this site. Interestingly enough, the surrounding grounds of the hotel are covered in dog poop and there are no trash cans or bags provided. One might ask where do the high pet fees go ? I post with another account because my last review was somehow removed...
Location is perfect for a Frontier City visit. Hotel was clean, linens and bathroom clean, but no mattress cover on one bed. Beds were comfortable, hotel was peaceful. Continental breakfast was good fuel for the road. I thought it was a little odd that I had to call a number left on the counter to get checked in but the employee was friendly and polite!
Great location and value! Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Pool was clean without the strong odor of chlorine. The hallways do have a peculiar smell.
